Most notable are the files related to a celery harvester. These include the notebooks of its creator, Ford L. Prescott, which contain photographs of the harvester and several prototypes as well as photographs of celery pickers in the fields of Chase & Company of Sanford, Florida.

The predecessor of the Engineering and Industrial Experiment Station (EIES) at the University of Florida was the Engineering Experiment Station created, but not funded, by the Florida Board of Control in 1929. The Dean of the College of Engineering served as the Director of the Engineering Experiment Station.
